Former church youth leader sentenced for enticing a minor for illicit sex

A former church youth leader in Iberia was sentenced in federal court Wednesday for attempting to entice a minor for illicit sex.

U.S. District Judge Brian Wimes sentenced Jamey Lee Becker, 46, of Iberia to 10 years in federal prison without parole.

Becker admitted to using the internet and a phone to entice a minor to have sex between February and June of 2016.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Miller County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
