Two people arrested after found driving stolen ATV
Callaway County deputies arrested two people Sunday afternoon after a traffic stop with an ATV in the 800 block of County Road 245 near Auxvasse.
Deputies said the driver, Harold Smith, had a revoked license. Deputies checked the ATV’s VIN number and learned it was reported stolen out of Callaway County earlier in the month.
The passenger, Sandra Montcalm, was arrested for an unrelated theft investigation out of Callaway County. She was arrested on suspicion of stealing and was released from jail.
Smith was arrested on suspicion of driving while revoked and tampering with a motor vehicle. He’s being held in the Callaway County jail on a $6,000 bond.
