Columbia man accused of dragging 15-year-old into home, offering money for sex

A Columbia man is in jail Wednesday morning after police say he dragged a 15-year-old into his home and offered her money for sex.

Police say it happened just after 5:00 Tuesday evening in the 1700 block of Sylvan Lane, near Quail.

A 15-year-old told police she was dropped off there and was waiting for a friend when Samuel Bonnarens started talking to her.

The victim told police he was saying inappropriate things to her and then grabbed her by the arm and took her into the house he was standing in front of.

While inside the residence the victim told police Bonnarens pulled down his pants and exposed himself to her. The juvenile victim said he then asked her to have sex and he said he would give her $20.00. The victim said no.

After the victim said no, Bonnarens apparently told the victim his neighbor was home and she needed to go.

That’s when the victim says she ran out of the back door, found a neighbor and told her what happened. The neighbor then called police.

The neighbor reportedly had seen Bonnarens grab the victim and take her into the house.

Officers arrived and spoke to the victim and neighbor, who were able to point out the residence and the suspect.

Police say they arrested Bonnarens just after 6:00pm Tuesday at 2206 White Gate Drive on suspicion of felonious restraint second degree kidnapping and sexual misconduct.
