Two Illinois men charged after multi-county car chase, possession of drugs

Two men from Illinois have been formally charged after they led authorities on a car chase through Boone County and Randolph County.

On Thursday, the men were taken into custody and their vehicle was towed. On Friday, authorities searched the vehicle and found six pounds of methamphetamine, money and a gun.

Nicholas Baldwin, 35, of Collinsville, Ill., and Scot Thorburg, 46, of Madison, Ill., were both charged with first degree drug trafficking and are being held on a $1 million bond.
