Two people in custody after multi-county chase through mid-Missouri

Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols confirmed two people were taken into custody after a pursuit involving a stolen car through mid-Missouri Thursday evening.

Nichols said the chase, which originally started in Boone County, ended on Highway 63 and Route J just after 8 p.m near Jacksonville.

The pursuit was moving slowly at about 25 mph because three of the car’s tires were blown out by spike strips, Nichols said.

Nichols said the suspects tried to run away from deputies, but were quickly taken into custody.
