Rising temperatures for the weekend

TONIGHT: Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s under mostly clear skies and a southwest wind up to 6 mph.

FRIDAY: We’ll have another warm, dry day with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. Southerly winds will increase to near 10 mph in the afternoon.

EXTENDED: It will start to feel even more humid as we head into the weekend and temperatures rise to near 90 both Saturday and Sunday. Heat index values this weekend are likely to be in the low to mid 90s as the humidity will make it “feel” more like summer. High temperatures will reach the low 90s Monday and Tuesday and nights will stay muggy, only dropping into the lower 70s. The humidity will cause heat indices to rise into the mid to upper 90s with highest heat indices in our northwestern counties. There is a slight chance of storms Tuesday night with a better chance next Wednesday and Thursday as a cold front drops into Mid-Missouri.
