Drying conditions for Thursday, but rain to continue this weekend

TODAY: Storms are dying in southwestern mid-Missouri as they track through. Rain amounts of 0.01″ to 0.40″ are possible with highest amounts near HWY 65 near Sedalia and Marshall. This afternoon we are looking dry with temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. As dewpoints climb into the 60s we will see slightly humid conditions.

TONIGHT: Look for a partly cloudy and mild evening with lows near 60-62. Winds will be light from the south/southeast under 5 mph.

EXTENDED: An upper level low looks to track south of Missouri Friday through Saturday. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible on Friday. The next cold front will arrive by Sunday morning. It looks dry during the day Saturday, with storms arriving by Saturday evening. At this time, there is not a risk for severe weather. Sunday morning we’ll need to watch for storms, but these look to impact those south of I-70 mainly. Starting next week, as a ridge builds in from the southwest we’ll finally see some dry days and slightly cooler temperatures.
