Dog bites Callaway County sergeant, second offense

On Feb. 15, Callaway County officers were called to a noise complaint in the 2000 block of County Road 334.

While one deputy was handling the complaint with the residents of the home, Patricia and Dennis Bowen, a dog ripped through the sergeant’s jack and bit through his long sleeve shirt, causing bruising and a cut to his left forearm.

There were two dogs in total at the home, and both were pitbulls. The residents were taking care of the pitbulls while their son was incarcerated.

The pitbull that bit the sergeant has a prior offense for biting.
