Mainly Dry, with Isolated T-Storms Friday
TODAY: A few thunderstorms are possible this morning north of I-70 with light rain. This will be hit and miss with most locations dry. Additional storms could develop this afternoon into early evening. If these develop, they could become strong to severe. There is a marginal severe threat Friday afternoon for isolated strong wind gusts or 1 inch hail. It will be a warmer afternoon with temperatures reaching 80-81 and with humidity rising by evening.
TONIGHT: It looks mainly dry this evening, with a few isolated thunderstorms through 6PM. It will be mild overnight with lows only dipping to the mid to low 60s with calm winds under 5 mph.
EXTENDED: Our best chance of rain moves in Saturday and Saturday night as a cold front slowly drifts through. It will feel humid on Saturday. Strong to severe storms are likely for Saturday afternoon and those with outdoor plans should check the latest forecasts before heading out for the weekend. All modes of severe weather are possible, especially for those south of I-70. Very large hail, strong, damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes are possible. Strongest storms will also produce heavy rain. Newest timing is indicating 4PM-11PM on Saturday. It looks drier Sunday with only a slight chance of isolated storms closer to I-44 in the morning. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s Saturday and the upper 70s Sunday and Memorial Day.
