Deputies perform search warrant at house on Garth

UPDATE: The search warrant was served in the 500 block of Garth due to an investigation into cocaine sales from the residence.

During numerous hours of surveillance, deputies say they witnessed numerous drug transactions at the residence.

As deputies were approaching the home to execute the search warrant, an adult male saw them.

Deputies say he then proceeded to run towards the interior bathroom.

Deputies say they entered and saw him in the hallway just outside of the bathroom.

A search of the home revealed small quantities of marijuana. There was additional evidence of drug sales, but no other drugs were found.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and no arrests were made at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY: On Friday, deputies performed a search warrant at a house on Garth near the corner of Worley.

ABC17 crews talked with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department on scene, they said a narcotics search warrant was served.

The corner of Garth and Worley was closed for about ten minutes in order for the deputies to secure the area.

At least one adult and three children were in the residence when deputies arrived on scene.

The children were removed from the property and given to a relative for the time being.
