J. Porter is a 5-star power forward, according to Rivals.com. He’s the 10th ranked player in the nation in the 2018 class.

Last season at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, WA, Porter, along with his brother Michael, helped lead the Raiders to a state title. In 2016, Porter won a state title at Tolton.

The Mizzou basketball team has one scholarship remaining for the upcoming season. If Porter reclassifies to 2017, he’ll join Michael Porter Jr., C.J. Roberts, Blake Harris, Kassius Robertson and Jeremiah Tilmon. As it is now, Rivals ranks Mizzou’s recruiting class as the 7th best in the nation.
