Active weather pattern, rain chances this week
TONIGHT: We’ll have some showers & t-storms overnight but none will be severe. Low temperatures will drop into the mid 50s with a light easterly breeze under 5 mph.
TUESDAY: We’ll have widely scattered showers and t-storms Tuesday which will shift to east of HWY 63 during the evening. Severe storms are not expected but a few could produce pea size hail. It will be cooler with high temperatures in the upper 60s and a northwesterly breeze under 10 mph.
EXTENDED: Wednesday looks to be the coolest day of the week with high temperatures in the low 60s. There is still a chance of showers with the best chance east of HWY 63. We’ll start to warm back up on Thursday with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid 70s. We’ll pick up a slight chance of t-storms late Thursday night mainly north of I-70 and spotty storms are possible Friday ahead of a storm system. Our best chance of rain moves in Saturday and Saturday night as a cold front slowly drifts through and stalls, keeping a chance of storms in the forecast for Sunday. At this time, it looks drier by Memorial Day as this front moves south of our area. Temperatures will warm into the upper 70s and lower 80s through the holiday weekend.
