Friday, May 19 Storm Reports

Once early morning storms ended Friday, it was dry until another line of storms swept across Mid-Missouri in the afternoon and evening, bringing strong wind, frequent lightning and heavy rain. Wind damage was reported in many areas including Jefferson City where a tree fell on the roof of a house. Fortunately, no one was injured but there was damage. Here are some of the storm reports from the late-day storms.

5:46 PM, Gravois Mills: Trees Down. 5:52 PM, Kaiser Airport: 53 mph wind gust. 6:30 PM, Brazito: Trees Down And Roofs Off Houses In An Area Between Lohman And Wardsville Southwest Of Jefferson City. 6:34 PM, Jefferson City: Large Tree Limb Down With Smaller Limbs Snapped As Well. 6:35, Jefferson City: Power Poles Down Along Industrial Drive, Blocking The Roadway. 6:44 PM, Ashland: Large Tree Uprooted With Other Large Tree Limbs Down.
