St. Louis man arrested in Cooper County for DWI, drug possession

A St. Louis man was arrested in Cooper County after driving under the influence of marijuana with four children in the car.

On April 22, the Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop on Andrew Walker after he was going 98 miles per hour in a 70 mile per hour zone.

Once Walker was pulled over, officers smelled marijuana coming from the car. Four children were sitting in the back seat and a woman was sitting in the passenger seat. Allegedly, two packages of marijuana were found by officers in the passenger side compartment. One of those packages belonged to Walker, and the other belonged to the woman in his car.

Walker was charged with DWI for drugs, possession of marijuana and exceeding the speed limit by 26 miles per hour or more.
