Monday feeling summer-like and breezy
TODAY: This afternoon is starting off on a warm note, as temperatures are already approaching the lower 80s. We will get close to the record high of 90 from back in 1944. It will feel a bit humid with southerly winds up to 10 mph. The further west you head the more humid it will feel by this afternoon. Highs today near 87-88 are average temperatures of what we have during the month of July.
TONIGHT: It will be mostly clear and mild tonight with lows in the mid to low 60s. Winds look to be from the south tonight from 5-10 mph.
EXTENDED: The warming trend will continue through Thursday with highs in the 80s each day and muggy nights in the 60s. The next opportunity for rain moves in early Wednesday morning from 12AM-6AM with spotty t-storms through early Wednesday afternoon. Isolated storms are possible Thursday but periods of storms look more likely from Thursday night through Friday, lingering through Saturday morning. We’ll have to watch for strong or severe storms Friday as a cold front moves through where heavy rain will be possible. A preliminary look at rain through the end of the week indicates 1″ to 3″ possible by Saturday morning. Please check for updates here and on ABC17 News.
