Beautiful and warm Mother’s Day across Mid-Missouri
TODAY: Temperatures this morning are on the mild side in the mid to upper 50s across Mid-Missouri. It’s a testament of what will be a warm and gorgeous afternoon for Mother’s Day. Highs today will climb into the lower 80s under sunny skies, with a southerly breezy up to 15 mph. It’s likely we’ll even see gusts as high as 20 mph through the day.
TONIGHT: The winds will subside out of the south under 10 mph tonight, with a warm night underway. Lows will only bottom out near 60 degrees under clear skies. Overall it won’t be bad as little to no humidity can be expected.
EXTENDED: The warming trend will continue through Thursday with highs in the 80s each day with storm chances increasing by the latter half of the next work week. The humidity will start to creep up by Monday evening and Tuesday with some locations hitting 90. The next opportunity for rain looks to move in late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning from 12AM-6AM where under 0.10″ is looking good. Medium and long range forecast models indicate a possible active pattern for the end of next week and into the following weekend where a preliminary look shows 1″ to 4″ of rain possible with highest amounts in southwest Mid-Missouri near Camden, Morgan, and Pulaksi counties.
