Rain ending, sunshine and warmer weather on the way

TONIGHT: Most areas will be dry with mostly cloudy skies and low temperatures in the low to mid 50s. A few showers will move across areas near I-44.

FRIDAY: Clouds will gradually break up to a partly sunny sky in the afternoon with high temperatures in the low 70s and a northeast breeze up to 12 mph.

EXTENDED: We’ll have a warming trend as we head into the weekend with mostly sunny skies. High temperatures will reach the upper 70s to near 80 Saturday with a light northerly breeze shifting to the south under 8 mph. A southwesterly wind will increase to 12 mph Sunday afternoon, warming us into the lower 80s. The warming will continue into early next week with highs in the mid to upper 80s Monday and Tuesday. It’s possible we could see our first 90 degree day by next Monday in some locations. The humidity increases by next next week again, giving us muggy nights with lows in the 60s. It will stay dry through Tuesday with a slight chance of t-storms Wednesday. Please check for updates here and on ABC17 News.
