Cooler with rain showers through Thursday evening
TODAY: After several days of warm temperatures, it’s finally feeling more seasonal and soggy across Mid-Missouri. Light rain is falling across a good portion of the region, keeping temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. That’s likely where we’ll stay as we head through the remainder of today, as the light rain will stick with us. There will be a noticeable difference today, as northerly winds will filter in cooler and drier air.
TONIGHT: It looks to be still slightly humid for those south of the Missouri river where storms look to develop from 5PM-11PM tonight. The severe risk has been removed, and therefore the strongest storms look to have lightning and moderate to heavy rain rates. We’ll have a north wind this evening under 12 mph with temperatures dipping to the mid 50s tonight.
EXTENDED: Rain will likely move out by early Friday morning near I-44, leaving us dry as we head into the weekend. It will be less humid heading into the weekend. High temperatures will stay in the low 70s Thursday and Friday, warming into the upper 70s Saturday and low 80s Sunday. The warming will continue into early next week with highs in the mid to upper 80s Monday and Tuesday. It’s possible we could see our first 90 degree day by next Monday in some locations. The humidity increases by next next week again. Please check for updates here and on ABC17 News.
