AM Rain and PM Storms Thursday

TODAY: Rain will be ongoing through 8AM south of I-70 becoming light and spotty east of HWY 54 through 9AM. Rain amounts today will range from 0.30″ to 0.50″ near I-70 to 1″ to 1.5″ south of HWY 50. After a humid morning, dry air will work it’s way in by afternoon and evening, bringing more comfortable and bearable conditions. Temperatures today will be 10 degrees cooler in the afternoon, right near average in the low 70s. There will be a good chunk of dry time during the day.

TONIGHT: It looks to be still slightly humid for those south of the Missouri river where storms look to develop from 5PM-11PM tonight. The severe risk has been removed, and therefore the strongest storms look to have lightning and moderate to heavy rain rates. We’ll have a north wind this evening under 8 mph with temperatures dipping to the mid 50s tonight.

EXTENDED: Rain will likely move out by early Friday morning near I-44, leaving us dry as we head into the weekend. It will be less humid heading into the weekend. High temperatures will stay in the low 70s Thursday and Friday, warming into the upper 70s Saturday and low 80s Sunday. The warming will continue into early next week with highs in the mid to upper 80s Monday and Tuesday. It’s possible we could see our first 90 degree day by next Monday in some locations. The humidity increases by next next week again. Please check for updates here and on ABC17 News.
