Sunny and pleasant Friday afternoon
TODAY: Sunny skies are in the forecast this afternoon for all of Mid-Missouri, with highs climbing to near 70 degrees. This trend is the start of what’s going to be a gorgeous weekend across the region. The only wrench in the perfect weather today, is the fact that winds will be quite breezy out of the north, with gusts up to 25 mph. For the first time in about a week, temperatures will finally be back near seasonal levels.
TONIGHT: The winds become become light this evening under 10 mph. A cool evening with a low near 50 degrees.
EXTENDED: The weekend looks pleasant with mostly sunny skies and afternoon high temperatures in the low to mid 70s. A few more clouds move in Monday with a slight shower chance mainly east of HWY 63. Most areas will stay dry through Tuesday with a warming trend as high temperatures reach the low 80s Tuesday into Wednesday. There is a slight chance of showers and t-storms Wednesday but rain is more likely as we head into Thursday. A preliminary look at rain next week indicated 0.50″ to 1″ for next week.
