One still at large after two suspects give Columbia police fake names, run from scene

Columbia police officers pulled over a green truck in the 2400 block of Broadway for an equipment violation on Friday morning when two suspects tried to run from the scene.

Rhonda Nicole Wilson was a passenger in the vehicle and gave the officer a fake name. The driver, who also gave officers a fake name, told them he was having an asthma attack. Medical personnel were called to the scene.

While waiting on medics to arrive, the driver and Wilson took off running. Wilson was found several minutes later in a nearby field.

Wilson was arrested for a felony warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of possession with a bond of $5,000, felony warrant for failure to appear on drugs with a bond of $5,000, felony hindering prosecution and felony resisting or interfering with an arrest.

The driver of the vehicle is still at large.
