Clear skies to view the moon and Jupiter this weekend

Clear skies will give us a good opportunity to view the waxing gibbous moon and Jupiter in the southeastern evening sky this weekend. Jupiter will look like a bright steady star in the evening sky but since it’s a planet, it won’t twinkle like a star. You’ll see the moon to the upper right of Jupiter Friday evening but closer Saturday night. Sunday evening the moon will be to the lower left of the planet Jupiter around 9 PM. The moon will be full Wednesday, May 10 and is called the Flower Moon.
