No one hurt in Boone County duplex fire
Wade School Road was shut down Thursday night as firefighters responded to a possible house fire in the 7200 block of North Wade School Road.
The Boone County Fire Protection District was called to the duplex around 9:25 p.m.
Assistant Chief Gale Blomenkamp said crews believe the fire started in the lower electrical area of the home’s refrigerator. Blomenkamp said the fire displaced the family on the left side of the duplex, but no one was injured.
The Red Cross is assisting the family. Fire officials estimate about $15,000 worth of damage.
Wade School Road was reopened around 10:45 p.m.
