Pulaski man dies during flash flood

The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that Gideon Jenkins, 18, died after he attempted to drive across a flooded road around 2 a.m. Sunday.

According to the drowning report, Jenkins’ car was swept away by the flash flood waters on Buffalo Road, two miles west of Crocker.

Jenkins was pronounced dead later Sunday morning.

According to the report, the incident was MSHP Troop I’s second drowning fatality for April and the year.
