Heavy rain continues to cause road closures in Boone County Sunday

UPDATE 12 p.m.: The following three roads have been reopened in Boone County:

-Brown School Road East near Providence Road

-2900 block of Blackfoot Road

-Creasy Springs Road at Bear Creek

All other roads are still closed because of water over the roadways.

UPDATE 10 a.m.: Boone County Public Works crews added Gillespie Bridge between Route UU and Chapel Hill Road to the closure list because of water on the roadway.

All roads listed below are still closed, according to the Boone County Office of Emergency Management website.

ORIGINAL: 24 roads have been closed through Boone County because of water over the roadways and continue to be closed Sunday.

Heavy to moderate rain is expected in mid-Missouri throughout the morning hours. Light rain and spotty showers are expected to continue from Sunday afternoon through the evening.

-Brown School Road East near Providence Road

-Nashville Church Road between Andrew Sapp Road and Blackhawk Trail

-St. Charles Road East at Doziers Station Road North

-Brushwood Lake between Vawter School Road and Howard Orchard Road

-Route V at Anchorom Road North

-Mount Zion Church Road East at Hinkson Creek

-Old Number 7 North and Dripping Springs Road West

-Hatton Chapel Road West near Locust Grove Church Road North

-Driskel Road between Route E and Moreau Road North

-Akeman Bridge Road West and Perche Creek

-Locust Grove Church Road and Bell Road

-Andrew Sapp Road South at Bonne Femme Creek

-5300 block of Hinkson Creek Road

-Route E at Twin Bridges

-Highway WW at the Boone/Callaway line at Cedar Creek

-Robbie Forbis Road South at Hunters Bend Road East

-Martin Lane at Crump Lane

-Hill Creek Road at Buffalo Ridge Road

-Sinclair Road at Mill Creek

-Worley Street at Strawn Road

-Creasy Springs Road at Bear Creek

-Route Y near Bob Veach Road

-Oneal Road at Wilcox

-2900 block of Blackfoot Road

The Boone County Office of Emergency Management said drivers need to take alternate routes.
