Cool Thursday afternoon, with showers arriving by evening
TODAY: This afternoon clouds are still holding steady across a good part of Mid-Missouri, but we are seeing some clearing along and west of 63. This is allowing temperatures to warm to near 50 degrees as you head out for lunch. As clouds continue to clear and sunshine prevails, temperatures will climb into the lower 60s through the remainder of today. It’ll be the nicest day the rest of this week.
TONIGHT: Clouds will be increasing this evening from the west ahead of rain returning after 10 PM for areas along Hwy 65. The rain will spread east through the night, with up to .25″ possible. Temperatures will be in the low 50s with winds becoming easterly under 10 mph.
EXTENDED: Rain will likely be ongoing on Friday morning, especially for those north of I-70 through 1PM. Rain amounts tomorrow will range from 0.10″ near I-70 to up to 0.60″ near HWY 36. Rain moves out by afternoon with mostly cloudy skies. Rain increases late Friday night from the south, with periods of rain and storms through Sunday with temperatures in the low-mid 60s. There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather again on Friday night for those near I-70, and a Slight Risk for those south of the Missouri River. Rainfall amounts from Friday through Sunday will range from 1-5 inches with highest amounts near I-44. There could be some locations that see near 6″ of rain across I-44. Flooding is possible and will need to be monitored as rain moves in. Please check back for updates and follow ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter and ABC17News on Facebook for updates as well.
