Former Jefferson City business owner pleads guilty to mail fraud in federal court

Yevhen Olejovich Drobovych , 27, of Jefferson City, pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud contained in a July 20, 2016, federal indictment.

The former owner of Jefferson City Computer Services pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to his role in burglarizing homes in Columbia and sell then selling the items on eBay.

Drobovych primarily targeted college housing and electronic equipment. Several people who burglarized homes in the Columbia area also forwarded stolen items to Drobovych.

Drobovych is subject to a sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison without parole.

ABC 17 previously reported on Drobovych when he was arrested in March of 2015 for harassing bouncers at a Columbia bar.
