Rainy end to the workweek

TODAY: Lows this morning are more pleasant than what we saw yesterday, as temperatures are holding steady in the upper 40s and lower 50s. We’re starting this morning off on a dry note, but rain will quickly begin to spread across the region as we head into the day. Heavy rain is falling in southern Missouri and will continue to drift to the north as the day progresses. Rain is expected to approach the Hwy 50 corridor by day break and stick around for the majority of the day. Areas along and south of I-70 will see most of the rain today, with locations seeing anywhere from 0.25″ of rain to just under 1.50″ south of Hwy 50. Areas north of 70 will stay on the dry side today, outside of a few light showers, with highs climbing into the upper 50s. Winds through the day will be out of the northeast under 15 mph.
