Columbia man arrested for involvement in Oklahoma child pornography case
A Boone County man was arrested on Thursday for one count of first degree promoting child pornography.
James Roberts, 39, of Columbia, was involved in an investigation by the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation in March.
While the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigations was investigating a subject, they discovered the Roberts was communicating and distributing obscene images to the Oklahoma subject through “Kik.”
The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation then sent the report to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department Cyber Crimes Task Force.
Roberts lives in the 1600 block of High Quest Circle. His bond has yet to be set.
