Marshall couple dies in motorcyle accident on anniversary

A Marshall couple has passed away after getting in a motorcycle accident on Friday.

Nathaniel Offield, 38 was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson on highway 65 at College in Saline County when a 2016 Ford driven by Janice Jones, 80, failed to yield to them.

The motorcycle hit the back right corner of the Ford, ejecting Nathaniel and his wife, 37-year-old Shelley Offield.

Both were pronounced dead at Fitzgibbon Hospital. Jones was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but suffered no injurieds

According to the couple’s obituaries, it was their second wedding anniversary.
