Rainy Monday Morning

TODAY: Light rain will be ongoing through 9AM. Showers this morning will produce and additional 0.10″ to 0.30″ before ending mid morning. Areas south of the Missouri River could see locally higher amounts. After an overcast morning, we’ll have broken cloud cover through the early afternoon. Skies will be clearing earlier for those north of I-70 after 12PM. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s.

TONIGHT: There will be skies clearing in parts tonight. Temperatures will reach the mid to low 50s with southeasterly winds under 5 mph.

EXTENDED: From the rain over the weekend and rain this week, the Missouri River at Miami and Waverly in Saline County is expected to rise to a Near Flood Stage by Tuesday morning. It looks mostly sunny for Tuesday with storms arriving late Tuesday night, mainly after 7PM. Areas north of I-70 will have th best chance for storms into the early morning hours on Wednesday. a warm front will be lifting and temperatures tomorrow should warm to the mid to upper 70s. This same front will stall during the day on Wednesday, and could fuel some strong to severe storms during the day. There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather on Wednesday for isolated damaging wind and large hail. Wednesday night will bring a chance for storms again.
