Entering into spring, mid-Missouri has welcomed an active weather pattern. At the beginning of April, most of mid-Missouri was under a moderate drought, with some portions even in a severe drought. Drought conditions have been continuously improving, including improvements from this past week.

Rainfall from this past week helped lead to widespread improvements in Missouri. We saw the elimination of the severe drought portions along with the removal of the moderate drought. Current conditions are still abnormally dry, but we could see even more improvements by the end of the week. For this week we have a chance of rain for every single day. Towards the end of the week we could see rainfall totals adding up anywhere from 1”- 4”.
