Beautiful Wednesday Ahead
TODAY: After a cool morning, temperatures will rise into the lower 70s in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies with a southerly breeze up to 12 mph.
TONIGHT: Clouds will be increasing this evening. Temperatures look to be 10 degrees milder tonight, staying in the mid 50s.
EXTENDED: We’ll have more clouds around Thursday with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. There is a slight shower chance from 12PM-7PM for those mainly north of I-70. We will also have a chance of showers and t-storms Friday but they will be spotty through Friday night. Rain amounts over Columbia look to range 0.10″ to 0.20″ with the highest amounts near northwest Mid-Missouri near Chariton and Howard counties where up to 0.40″ is possible. No severe weather is expected through Friday. Saturday looks warm and breezy with partly cloudy skies and southwesterly winds gusting to 25 mph at times. There is a slight storm chance early Saturday morning mainly north of I-70 but most of the day looks dry. Our better chance of storms moves in Saturday night mainly after 7PM as a cold front moves in from the north. Scattered showers and storms are possible through Sunday morning with rain chances decreasing into the afternoon as the rain chances moves south with the front. High temperatures will reach into the mid 70s Sunday. Next week is looking unsettled with rain chances each day next week.
