Sunny and breezy Saturday, storms Sunday night

TODAY: Saturday will be mostly sunny and dry with temperatures reaching into the mid to upper 70s by the afternoon. Winds will be breezy from the south around 13-18 mph with gusts near 28 mph. By tonight, temperatures will remain pleasant in the 60s as those southerly winds continue to push in warm air into Mid-Missouri.

SUNDAY: Conditions will be partly sunny and warmer with temperatures reaching into the 80s by the afternoon. Gusty winds will continue into Sunday with sustained winds around 9-18 mph out of the south with gusts near 30 mph. Storms are expected to develop in western Missouri by late Sunday afternoon and move into Mid-Missouri Sunday evening and overnight with best chances west of HWY 63 mainly after 9PM. Strong to severe storms are possible.

EXTENDED: As a cold front slowly moves east Monday, rain ends early in the morning with additional storms possible in the afternoon mainly near I-44. It looks dry for Tuesday and much of Wednesday next week. It looks unsettled from Wednesday night into next Saturday with periods of showers and t-storms possible.
