Abundant sunshine through Thursday evening
TODAY: For the first time in quite some time, we are finally seeing several days of sunshine in Mid-Missouri. Temperatures this afternoon are still on the cool side, but warmer compared to Wednesday. The breezy conditions look to stay with us today, where winds could gust to 30 mph in the afternoon. We’ll see highs reach into the mid 50s today under sunny skies.
TONIGHT: Skies look to be mostly clear and temperatures will be falling to the low 30s. A Frost Advisory will be valid Friday 1AM-9AM for areas west of US 63 and south of I-70. A Frost Advisory means sensitive vegetation can be damaged.
EXTENDED: Warmer, drier weather moves in Friday through Sunday with high temperatures reaching near 73 Saturday and mid to upper 70s Sunday. There may be a few locations pushing 80 by Sunday. Storms are expected to develop in western Missouri by late Sunday afternoon and move into Mid-Missouri Sunday evening and overnight with best chances west of HWY 63 mainly after 9PM. Strong to severe storms are possible. As a cold front slowly moves east Monday, additional storms are possible into the afternoon.
