K.J. Walton and Frankie Hughes will both transfer away from Mizzou, per a statement from the men’s basketball team on Tuesday.

Walton played two seasons with the Tigers. He averaged 6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Hughes played one season with the Tigers. He averaged 7.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

In Walton’s sophomore season, he averaged 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He played roughly 19 minutes per game.

Hughes played 19.3 minutes per game in his freshman campaign with the Tigers.

Walton and Hughes have not announced where they plan to transfer to. In Walton’s Missouri bio, it says he chose Mizzou over Cincinnati and Xavier out of high school. His father Kenneth also played at Nebraska from 1981-83.

Hughes’ former Mizzou and high school teammate Willie Jackson transferred from Mizzou in December. Jackson is now at Toledo.
