Rising rivers and flooding this week

An additional 1-2″ rain Tuesday through Wednesday on top of already saturated ground will produce increased runoff into area rivers causing minor to moderate flooding. Flood Warnings have been issued for the Grand River near Brunswick and Sumner, the Lamine River near Otterville, the Petite Saline Creek near Boonville and the Missouri River near Glasgow, Waverly, Miami and Boonville.

The Missouri River is expected to rise to minor flood stage in Glasgow and Boonville Wednesday evening and to flood stage near Jefferson City, Chamois, Gasconade and Hermann by Thursday evening. (See hydrographs in gallery)
