Rain and Isolated T-Storms Monday

TODAY: Light rain moves in the for the morning commute west of US 63. Rain will increase and become widespread throughout the day. A few thunderstorms will be possible bringing 0.25″ to 0.50″ through this evening. A Marginal Risk for storms this afternoon east of HWY 54 will bring storms that potentially could produce 50 mph wind gusts and hail up to the size of quarters. It will be a mild morning with temperatures in the low 50s, reaching the low 60s in the afternoon.

TONIGHT: It will be slightly cooler with lows in the upper 40s. It looks dry overnight, where patchy fog however is likely to develop. Winds will be from the northwest under 8 mph.

EXTENDED: It looks dry on Tuesday morning, while Tuesday afternoon and evening will bring additional rain and thunderstorms. Rain looks to start up north of I-70 after 3PM, with rain and storms increasing to those south of I-70 after 6PM. Storms Tuesday evening will be capable of producing large hail and damaging wind of 60 mph. Storms will be possible into Wednesday morning. Sunshine returns from Thursday through Saturday where, however it looks cool by Thursday night as lows dip to the low 30s. We’ll need to watch for the possibility of widespread frost Thursday night.
