Weekend forecast holds a dry Saturday and wet Sunday

TODAY: Our skies will be dominated by clouds and dry conditions with the high temper ature near 60 degrees for Saturday’s high temperature. We may see some sunshine by the afternoon, but more clouds will roll in tonight keeping our evening temperatures mild in the mid 50s with light winds up to 10 mph out of the east.

SUNDAY: Rain movies into the viewing area nearly after midnight Saturday night from the west and into the rest of the area by mid-morning. The best chance of rain is for areas north of I-70 with much of Mid-Missouri receiving at most 1/4″. By the afternoon temperatures will reach slightly above the seasonal average in the mid 60s, followed by a brief break in the rain chance. No severe weather is expected with these storms.

EXTENDED: The rain chances continue into Monday with a chance of a few showers in the morning and increasing rain south of I-70 in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will reach into the low to mid 60s early next week with another chance of rain late Tuesday as another storm system tracks to our south. Wednesday and Thursday also hold a slight chance for rain, with our next sunny day expected by Friday.
