April showers for the start of the month

TONIGHT: More clouds will roll in tonight keeping our early evening temperatures mild in the mid 50s with light easterly winds up to 10 mph. As we move past midnight we see an increased chance for showers that will work their way into mid-Mo from the west. Temperatures will bottom out in the upper 40s.

SUNDAY: Rain showers will increase by mid-morning. The best chance of rain is for areas north of I-70, with much of Mid-Missouri receiving at most 1/4″. By the afternoon, temperatures will reach above the seasonal average in the mid 60s. During the afternoon we expect a brief break in the rain showers. Sunday night a second system will move in causing for another chance of showers and possibly thunderstorms. No severe weather is expected with these storms.

EXTENDED: The rain chances continue into Monday with a chance of a few showers in the morning and increasing rain south of I-70 in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will reach into the low to mid 60s early next week with another chance of rain late Tuesday as yet another storm system tracks to our south. Wednesday and Thursday also hold a slight chance for rain, with our next sunny day expected by Friday.
