Car crashes into central Columbia building

No one appeared to be hurt after a driver ran into a central Columbia building Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the scene just after 3:30 p.m. in the 900 block of College Avenue.

They believe the driver forgot to put the vehicle in reverse before hitting the gas.

An inspector was headed to the scene to make sure the building was stable before allowing people back into it.

The vehicle had some exterior damage.
