Police arrest man suspected of several crimes in Jefferson City
Police arrested a man this week suspected of several crimes in Jefferson City.
Justin Gray was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary, first-degree property damage and second-degree property damage.
Court documents say Gray bonded out of the Cole County Jail Sunday night. He was arrested around 4 a.m. Monday in connection with a theft at 810 Stadium Boulevard and was found with gift certificates from Unique Creations made out to the Zimmer Radio Group.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary at Unique Creations and K’s Consignment shop Monday. Officers said windows to both businesses were shattered by a large rock.
According to court documents, $110 in cash and the gift certificates that were made out to Zimmer Radio Group were taken from the cash register at Unique Creations.
Later that day, a third report of property damage was made at Nu2yu resale shop after its glass window was damaged with a large rock.
Court documents claim Gray has been linked to multiple crimes in the past 30 days in Jefferson City, and that he has prior arrests from Kansas for burglary, failure to appear and escape from custody.
