Patchy Fog Tuesday Morning

TODAY: Patchy fog expected this morning with temperatures in the upper 40s for the morning commute. Look for scattered clouds today with a northeast breeze under 10 mph. Temperatures will reach the low 60s, making for a typical March day.

TONIGHT: We’ll have broken cloud cover tonight with a northeasterly wind at 5-10 mph. Temperatures overnight will reach the upper 40s before storms arrive on Wednesday morning.

EXTENDED: There is a slight risk for severe weather in parts of Mid-Missouri. There looks to be two rounds of possible heavy rain on Wednesday, first early in the morning, and the second in the evening. The first round looks to move into the Ozarks between 4AM and 6AM, lifting northeast towards Columbia and Jefferson City between 5AM and 7AM. This is the start up time. The first round of storms moves out between 10AM and 11AM, leaving for some dry time during the day. The second round increases by 7PM, it looks like near northwest Mid-Missouri, with a second band developing near the Ozarks and I-44 at this time. Rain will become widespread Wednesday night into Thursday morning where most locations will pick up 1″ to 2.5″ of much needed rain. We’ll need to watch for all modes of severe weather possible on Wednesday. Please check back for updates and follow ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter and ABC17News on Facebook for updates as well.
