Storms and Heavy Rain Friday

There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather on Friday afternoon and Friday night. Newest data is suggesting that storms could arrive slightly early on Friday putting the line near Pettis and Benton counties by 1PM and 3PM and near Columbia by 2PM and 4PM. The evening commute looks to be tricky with storms likely ongoing with heavy rain. The risk is low at this time, while some of the strongest storms could produce large hail and damaging wind over 58 mph. Areas near I-70 and south have the best potential for strongest storms Friday.

Due to less instability during the day on Saturday, severe weather is not expected. Rain will be on and off on Saturday, with periods of dry time. The rain chance looks to end Saturday evening by 10PM-12AM east of HWY 54 leaving most locations from US 63 and east 1″ to 1.5″ of rain.
