Two people taken to hospital after crash in central Columbia

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a head-on crash Tuesday in central Columbia, according to police.

The crash was reported around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Garth Avenue and Worley Street.

According to police, a minivan was traveling south on Garth and a car was attempting to make a left turn onto Worley to go west. The officer said both drivers claimed to have a green light.

Two lanes were partially blocked.
