Slight Rain Chance Tuesday

TODAY: Clouds will increase this morning with showers and some rumbles of thunder possible after 10AM south of HWY 50. Skies will remain mostly cloudy during the day with highs in the upper 50s, to low 60s. Rainfall amounts of .01″ to .20″ are expected with highest amounts closer to I-44 in the Ozarks. It looks to be a breezy afternoon with northwest winds sustained of 10-18 in the afternoon gusting upwards to 30 mph at times.

TONIGHT: A north wind continues tonight with temperatures much cooler in the mid 30s under a mostly cloudy sky.

EXTENDED: Wednesday will stay chilly with highs near 50 under partly to mostly cloudy skies and a chance of an isolated shower. The active weather continues for the end of the week as temperatures warm to near 60 Thursday and into the 70s Friday ahead of a strong storm system. Showers will increase Wednesday night into Thursday as warmer air starts to move in. These look like they’ll move out by early Thursday afternoon with drier weather until Friday afternoon when a line of showers and strong storms moves in. Heavy rain is possible with this line through Friday night where 1″ to 1.25″ of rain looks possible for most locations.
