Man hit with gun during armed burglary in Columbia

According to Columbia Police, officers responded to a burglary in the 2600 block of Morning Glory drive Monday night.

At least two people were home when police said three people forced their way inside. Two of them had guns with them, according to police.

Police said one of the intruders shot a few bullets inside of the home. Police said no one was hit by the bullets. According to police, that same person hit a male victim with the gun.

The burglars took money and left the area in a car nearby.

The amount of property damage is unknown at this time. The investigation is on-going.
