Chilly Wednesday, increasing showers & storms

TONIGHT: We’ll have a mostly cloudy sky and a colder night as temperatures fall into the mid to upper 30s by morning with a northeast wind up to 10 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Wednesday will stay chilly with highs near 50 under partly to mostly cloudy skies and a chance of an isolated shower. We’ll have a cool easterly breeze at 10-15 mph.

EXTENDED: The active weather continues for the end of the week as temperatures warm to the low 60s Thursday and into the 70s Friday ahead of a strong storm system. Showers will increase Wednesday night into Thursday as warmer air starts to move in. These look like they’ll move out by early Thursday afternoon with drier weather until Friday afternoon when a line of showers and t-storms moves in. These will continue into early Saturday morning as they shift to the east of HWY 63 and end. Heavy rain is possible with this line through Friday night where 1″ to 1.25″ of rain looks possible for most locations. Showers and isolated t-storms will increase late Saturday morning and continue through Saturday evening as low pressure moves across the area. Highs will reach the mid 60s Saturday and lower 60s Sunday. Sunday will be mainly dry but more rain is expected late Sunday evening and overnight as another storm system approaches.
