Clear and dry conditions continuing into Saturday night

TODAY: The start of our weekend holds gorgeous conditions with temperatures reaching up to 60 degrees. Conditions for today will be perfect for going outside: dry and sunny with a gentle breeze up to 13 mph from the northwest. Tonight, temperatures will lower into the upper 40s with increasing clouds overnight.

SUNDAY: Isolated showers and potential thunderstorms are possible in the morning hours on Sunday. The best chance to see any accumulation will be for areas along and west of US 65 and I-70. By the afternoon, conditions will dry up under partly sunny skies with a warmer high near 70 degrees. By the late evening and into early Monday morning, another round of showers and thunderstorms is possible for Mid-Missouri.

EXTENDED: By Monday morning, the rain chance increases ahead of the next cold front. Showers and thunderstorms are possible after 9 PM Sunday night as a cold front approaches. Some of the storms could produce hail of 1 inch or greater with the best chance north of I-70 where there is a Marginal Severe Threat for large hail. The rain will move out by mid-morning Monday and temperatures will climb to near 70 before falling. Monday night will be colder with lows near 40. It will be cooler next Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 50s and a chance of showers each day.
