Deputies find no evidence of shooting after reported gunshots Demaret Drive

UPDATE 8:21am: Deputies are now calling this a suspicious incident. They say they did not find any evidence of a shooting but did collect other items as evidence.

ORIGNIAL: Boone County deputies are searching an area in north Boone County after getting reports of gunshots Friday morning.

ABC 17 News first started hearing reports about the incident just before 7:00 Friday morning.

Deputies responded to the area of Demaret Drive and East St. Charles Road and were seen searching the ground with flashlights.

Deputies were also seen hanging up crime tape.

ABC 17 News has a crew on the scene working to find out more about what happened and if deputies have found any evidence of a shooting.
